In Pictures: Midlands Paralympians Receive Amazing Welcome Home

The communities of Portlaoise and Portarlington were out in force yesterday to welcome home their Paralympic heroes.

Bronze medal winning hand-cyclist Gary O'Reilly and silver medalist in the pool Nicole Turner returned to home soil for the first time since their exploits in Tokyo.

Despite the monsoon conditions friends, family and well-wishers were not going to be deterred from giving them the homecoming that they deserve.
