Jack Nolan and Joe Troy looks forward to the championship opener.
This weekend's Joe McDonagh Cup midlands derby is too close to call, according to the Midlands 103 commentators.
The two counties met at the same stage last year with Offaly running out three point winners in Tullamore.
This year, O'Moore Park plays host to the fixture with Laois coming off the back of winning the Division 2A title while Offaly impressed many observers in battling Division One opposition.
Jack Nolan says Laois will have to sharpen up defensively.
