It's his 3rd win of 2021.
Moate's Joe Ward moved to 5-1 as a professional in the early hours of the morning in New York.
'Mighty Joe' looked mighty impressive in dispatching Leandro Silva (3-5) via unanimous decision after the bout went the distance.
He won every round over the former UFC fighter, taking it on the judge's scorecards 60-54.
Silva came into the fight with a reputation of being a durable boxer who had never been knocked out despite his overall record and that proved to be the case here as Ward failed to garner a ten count despite sustained periods of offence.
It brings Ward's tally of wins in 2021 to three after successes against Marco Delgado and Troy Williams earlier in the year.
