Shane Lowry's posted six birdies and five bogeys on his way to a one under par round at the RBC Heritage in South Carolina.
Four of those birdies came on the front nine as the Open Champion made a strong start.
His back nine however contained three bogeys, dropping the Clara man back to even par before picking up a shot on his final par four of the day.
He will be back on the course at 12:45pm Irish time along side Ian Poulter and Pat Perez.
Graeme McDowell is also in the field, he's on two over.
Australia's Cameron Smith leads on 9 under par.
