An Aussie Rules star and Laois man is set to equal the record for most appearnces by an Irish player in the AFL.
Zach Tuohy is expected to make his 264th appearance for his club Geelong Cats next week to equal the record set by Jim Stynes.
The 33-year-old made his professional debut in 2011 for Melbourne side Carlton, before transferring to Geelong in 2017 where he has spent his career since.
The Portlaoise footballer has also represented Ireland in International rules football in the 2011, 2013 and 2017 series against Australia.
His side face Sydney Swans tomorrow with a first bounce at 10.50am Irish time.
