3% Of People Only Wash Their Towels Once A Year

Men are less likely to put their towel in the wash on a regular basis.

Cleaning experts are being left horrified by the news that 3% of people surveyed only wash their towels once a year. 

A study by Showers To You found a further 8% confessed to only washing their towels twice a year, while a third of people wash theirs every three months.

Men are more likely to be the ones not washing their towels frequently enough. 
 
67% of people say they look for visual signs their towel needs washing before they swap it for a fresh one, while 61% said they were influenced by the way it smells.
