Sunday is the best day of the week to sit down and book flights.

Expedia has analysed billions of booking data points to reveal when the cheapest deals for airfares are. 

If you book your flight on a Sunday you can save 23%, with travellers who book on Sundays instead of Fridays tending to save, on average, around 24% on flights.

Jetting out a Friday can save you up to 26% while Sunday is the priciest day to start your trip, while taking off before 3pm reduces the chance of your flight being cancelled.
