The cold snap has had a lasting effect on some homes and businesses without power.
Most homes across the Midlands have had their power restored following the start of the cold snap.
Shortages in Laois are mostly around Portlaoise, with over five hundred and fifty customers having their power restored over the course of this morning.
Only ten businesses around the area currently remain without power.
While in Offaly, around 39 people have had power restored in Birr.
