The National Archives’ is coming to the Midlands as part of a nationwide tour celebrating the release of the 1926 Census.
'The Story of Us' exhibition offers visitors a glimpse into life in Ireland a century ago.
Westmeath County Council Buildings will host the exhibition from 25th August to 11th September, the tour will also visit the National Ploughing Championships in Screggan, Offaly, from 15th to 17th September.
Using census records, photographs and audio-visual displays, the exhibition explores everyday life in the Irish Free State in 1926.
