Gardaí were confronted by a man with a knife during the incident.
Four men have been charged in connection with the seizure of several petrol bombs.
They were arrested after a car was intercepted in the Carbury area, near Edenderry, on Monday night.
19 petrol bombs were discovered by Gardaí after officers searched the vehicle.
The men are due to appear before a sitting of Naas District Court at around 10.30am.
While dealing with this incident, Gardaí were confronted by a man armed with a knife.
He was also arrested, charged and has appeared in court yesterday.
