The warning comes from the Director of Public Health in the Midlands.
It's feared the high transmission of covid-19 in the community will impact all healthcare services across the midlands.
The three regional hospitals are under increased pressure, but the Director of Public Health in the Midlands says staff are now experienced in dealing with the virus.
Dr. Una Fallon is reminding people to stay at a home, to keep contacts at the absolute minimum.
She says healthcare services are very vulnerable when community transmission is so high:
BREAKING: The hospital is ceasing all non-time dependent work from tomorrow onwards.
