The annual Rose of Tralee Festival, one of Ireland's oldest and largest festivals gets underway today
32 Roses, including Laois' Sinead Dowd and Offaly's Allie Leahy will take part this year from across Ireland as well as around the world.
With Ottawa Rose Aoife McDonald who has Portarlington roots appearing with Roses from Australia, the US, Canada and New Zealand.
