Tests by Offaly County Council found a well – which supplies water to Roscomroe National School near Kinnitty – is contaminated, and a temporary line has been set up to allow the school to re-open on time.
Independent councillor John Leahy is commending the community for rallying together to resolve the issue in the interim, but says the Department now needs to step in to fund a permanent solution:
