ODVSS says the threshold for a barring order is too high.
There are calls for new measures which would allow victims of domestic abuse to safely remain in the family home.
As it stands, those accused of domestic violence can only be forced to leave the home if a barring order is secured.
However, they can only be issued in the case of extreme threats, and Offaly Domestic Violence Support Service says the threshold is 'too high.'
