A government TD is calling for legislation which would see stricter restrictions put in place for An Bord Pleanála decisions.
Cabinet approved a major overhaul of Ireland's planning laws last year, which would see fewer people be able to take judicial reviews of planning decisions.
As it stands, An Bord Pleanála is supposed to make decisions on appeals within 18 weeks of them being filed.
