A Local Election Candidate is pushing the campaign.
There's calls for a MIDOC-like service to be developed for mental health services.
The campaign comes from Aontú Local Election Candidate in Portlaoise, Martha Ryan, who wants such a service to be nurse-led.
She believes St. Vincent's Campus, where Laois' MIDOC out-of-hours-GP service is based, would be a suitable site.
