Motions are being passed at County Council meetings around the country.
Access to the Personal Assistant Service enables disabled people to have choice, control and freedom in their lives.
They're the words of Policy Manager at Independent Living Movement Ireland, James Cawley, who requested a motion be tabled at the monthly meeting of Laois County Council which would give disabled people the right to a PA.
It's part of a the PAS Now campaign, which aims to have every local authority in the country pass the motion, where it can be brought to the Dáil.
