A large turnout is expected at the information evening.

A campaign to get a new first responders group established in the midlands will be presented today.

As part of an information evening, it will be argued Kinnegad's population size justifies the need for the group to be set up.

It will be presented by a Community Engagement Officer with the HSE, and gets underway in Scanlons on Main Street at 7.30pm.

Community activist Frances Monahan, is orgnasing the event, and says they're expecting a big turnout:
