The Enterprise Minister today opened a new rapid charging point in Westmeath.
The Enterprise Minister believes sales of electric vehicles in the midlands will continue to fall unless there's a step-change in Government investment on charging infrastructure.
Peter Burke is making the comments after opening a new SSE Energy EV rapid charging point in Mullingar.
The Longford Westmeath rep's government colleague Eamon Ryan last month announced plans to install 131 new chargers around the country, with three sites in Portlaoise and Mullingar set to benefit.
