An open day is being held today to offer support and raise awareness.
Charities are coming together in Westmeath today to raise awareness for the 1,500 families in Ireland affected by rare and undiagnosed conditions.
The open day in Athlone will see information stands for charities such as Little Blue Heroes, Rare Ireland, Inclusion Ireland and Lauralynn Children's Hospice.
The event will also have the Bumbleance children’s ambulance outside the door of the Sheraton Hotel for people to view.
