Over 1,900 ESB customers in Offaly are currently without power with affected areas including Clara, Tullamore, Killurin, and Walsh Island.
187 premises in Moate and Killgeenaghan are reporting outages in Westmeath.
Met Eireann has issued a status yellow weather warning in the region for thunderstorms until 9pm this evening.
While the ESB are saying the majority of outages will be resolved by the same time.
