Committee Formed To Push Government On Haulier Issues

It follows an emergency meeting on fuel issues in Portlaoise on Saturday.

A Midlands MEP says an emergency haulier tax rebate passed by Government won't cut it for the sector.

Over 400 contractors and hauliers attended an emergency meeting in Portlaoise on Saturday organised by the Association of Farm Machinery Contractors in Ireland.

A committee was formally established to push for further engagement with Government, on issues such as a HVO rebate and fertliser costs.
