A new report has found three in five construction companies are finding it hard to recruit.

Mechanical, electrical and plumbing are the sections of the construction industry with the largest shortages.

That's according to the Spokesperson for Economic Development at Mullingar Chamber, John Geoghegan.

A report from the Banking and Payments Federation has found three in five construction companies have difficulties with recruitment.

Mr.Geoghegan, says a lack of accommodation due to a lack of workers to build it is the circle that's trying to be square:
