The number of dentists nationally has dropped by over 70 in the past 15 years.
Over 7,000 teenagers in Laois have yet to see a dentist under the School Dental Scheme.
Sinn Fein says there is a "crisis" in the county, with a 7,397 students not yet seen.
Under the initiative, children are meant to have dental appointments in 2nd and 4th class.
Nationally, the amount of public dentists has dropped from 330 to 254 in the last 15 years.
