Crumlin Hospital Purchases New Equipment Thanks To An Offaly Boy's Donation

He raised over €11,000 for the facility last year.

A ten year old Offaly boy has seen how the money he raised for Crumlin Hospital has been spent.

Jack McDermott, who suffers from a rare illness, raised over €11,000, by walking over 200km in February 2021.

The ten year old, who is a regular patient at the hospital, suffers with Behcet's syndrome which causes his blood vessels to get inflammed.

During a recent visit, staff showed him one of the pumping machines that was bought by his donation.

He has also been nominated for Offaly's Unsung Hero 2021.
