Westmeath's Sean McNamara stepped down from the the role as President of the ICSA on Saturday having been in the job since December 2024.
Mr McNamara says he felt unable to give voice to the concerns and experiences of people in rural Ireland.
He says he didn't have the full backing of the organisation and couldn't continue:
