Gardaí and emergency services responded to the incident at an industrial premises at around 11.40am.
The man who was in his 50s, and the woman, who was in her 20s, were pronounced dead at the scene where they remain until moved to the Midlands Regional Hospital in Tullamore for a post mortem examination.
The Health and Safety Authority says it's aware of the fatal incident and is launching an investigation.
