Libraries across the Midlands are set to hold events across the county this week.
"Connecting Generations" - that's the theme of this year's Positive Ageing Week with events set to take place this week in the Midlands.
The yearly awareness event created by Age Action is aiming to bring both younger and older people together in order to reduce loneliness and connect communites.
A range of events are being held from chair yoga in Portlaoise Library to a VEX Robotics workshop in Tullamore library, where grandparents and grandchildren learn how to build a robot together.
Tullamore's Molly Buckley is the Chair of Offaly's Older People Council.
