The Defence Forces Veterans Day has been held in McKee Barracks in Dublin this afternoon.
The Chief of Staff of the Irish Defence Forces, Lieutenant General Seán Clancy has attended the event.
They've celebrated veterans' contribution and offered them an opportunity to meet, reminisce and pass on their vast experience to younger soldiers.
