The National Famine Way Roadshow is making its way to Westmeath today.
The free event visits each of the seven areas along the 165 kilometers walking trail with a stop in Mullingar Library at 2:30 pm.
It comes ahead of a full nine day remembrance walk along the route this May.
Speakers include Ruth Illingsworth, President of the Westmeath Historical and Archaeological Society and Dr. Jason King, Academic Coordinator of the National Famine Museum.
