The appointment of a contractor has been pushed back.
The development of a new advanced manufacturing plant in the midlands has hit a bump in the road.
A contractor for the new facility at the Marlinstown IDA Park in Mullingar was due to be appointed before the end of September, but that's now been pushed back until the the final quarter of this year.
The 50,000 square foot plant is due to lead to significant job creation.
Longford Westmeath Fianna Fáil TD Robert Troy says the delay is "worrying," while stressing the project must be "prioritised and progressed quickly."
