The figure has increased once again for adults however.
There's been a decrease in the number of homeless children in the midlands.
The latest figures from the Department of Housing show there are now fifty-five children in emergency accommodation down from 61.
However, there has been an increase in the number of adults with 50 women and 46 men homless in October.
Nationally there are 10,514 staying in temporary accommodation.

It was defeated 56 votes to 53 after a lengthy debate last night.
The Social Democrats called for Murphy to be removed from office for his handling of the housing crisis.
