Drop of 384 In PUP Recipients In The Midlands This Week

It's the first time the payement has been calculated under the new three-tiered system. 

384 fewer people will receive the Pandemic Unemployment Payment in the midlands today.

Westmeath remains the county with the most workers unemployed because of the pandemic at 3,426, there's 2,821 in Offaly and 2,731 in Laois. 

The total figure for the region is 8,972 meaning it accounts for 4% of the national figure.
