Almost €5,000 worth of drugs has been recovered by gardaí in Laois.
The Portlaoise Detective Unit carried out a search while on a patrol in the Cappakeal area outside Portlaoise at about 7.45 on Sunday evening, after encountering a man acting suspiciously.
A quantity of suspected cocaine and heroin was seized, and a man aged in his 20s was arrested.
He has since been released without charge and investigations are ongoing.
