The last Local Election saw more than 108,000 votes spoiled.
Efforts are underway to prevent unintentional spoiled votes in the upcoming elections.
The Electoral Commission has today launched a campaign ahead of the Local and European Elections on June 7th.
In 2019, the Local Election saw over 108,000 invalid votes, with people often inserting the wrong numbers or their names.
That year saw over 1,500 spoiled votes across the midlands, with over 460 in both Laois and Offaly, and Westmeath the highest in the region at 653.
