One government TD is calling for the festival to be moved out of Laois.
A government TD wants the organisers of Electric Picnic to move the festival from Laois.
Cork-East Fianna Fail deputy James O'Connor made the comments in a tweet last night.
It comes as the Irish Daily Mail reports that senior officials have asked the Attorney General to explore options for the festival to go ahead in Stradbally next month.
That's despite a statement from Laois Council Council yesterday which said they couldn't go back on an earlier decision to reject the planning application.
Meanwhile A Fine Gael senator says it was a missed opportunity that the Minister for Health and the Chief Medical Officer didn't have a conversation about Electric Picnic a few weeks ago.
It's after Dr Tony Holohan said earlier this week that he didn't have an issue with the festival going ahead for vaccinated people.
