The incident happened in County Laois this afternoon.
A traffic diversion is in place following a collision on a key route to Electric Picnic.
It happened near Arles, approximately 18km south of the festival site, on the N80 corridor from Carlow, Wexford and the wider South East region.
The road is closed and motorists are asked to follow an alternative route.
Meanwhile, Gardai are advising of a separate closure of the N80 on Monday, between Bloomfield Roundabout (Portlaoise) and Simmonsmill Cross from 10am to 4pm.
All non-EP traffic is asked to avoid the area and use other routes.
As part of the Electric Picnic traffic plan, one-way systems will operate around the wider area so Sat Navs cannot be relied upon as they will not be aware of these temporary diversions.
