The party's 81st conference takes place in TUS Athlone on Saturday.

Rural Ireland and the cost of living crisis will top the agenda when Fine Gael representatives gather in Westmeath this weekend.

The party's annual Ard Fheis will kick off in TUS Athlone and carry on throughout the day tomorrow.

It's the 81st rendition of the conference, and the first time TDs, MEPS and Councillors will meet in person since before the pandemic.

Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys, is encouraging people to have their say on what the party can do better:
