Staff are all safe following the incident.
A fire at a neighbouring premises has led to the temporary closure of an Offaly Citizens Information Centre.
The incident occurred yesterday at the Courtyard Office Centre on Emmet Street in Birr.
No injuries were reported, and all staff and clients were safely evacuated.
The centre itself sustained minimal damage, but will remain closed for at least two weeks pending safety checks.
