Two cars were stolen from Laois housing estates last night.
A car stolen in Laois has been used in the theft of another vehicle in the area.
A silver Toyota Corolla was taken from outside a home and another vehicle was also damaged in the Whitefields housing estate in Portarlington at around 3.50am this morning.
The Toyota was then used in the theft of another car from the Slí Na Mona housing estate in the town, around 15 minutes later.
Gardaí believe five men were involved.
Anyone with information is being asked to contact Portlaoise Garda Station.
