People in the Midlands are being warned about the risk of river flooding today.
Alerts for heavy rainfall in Laois, Offaly, and Westmeath, the rest of Leinster as well as counties in Ulster and Munster will be in place until 11 pm tonight.
Separately a wind warning ends in Dublin, Wexford, Wicklow, Meath and Louth around lunchtime.
There's a warning about wave overtopping along costal waters, fallen trees, and loose debris in affected areas.

As of yesterday, Valentia weather station in Co Kerry recorded 48 consecutive days of rain - which was every single day of 2026.
The most recent day with zero rainfall across the country was 51 days - ago on the 29th of December - when all 25 primary weather stations observed zero-millimetres of rainfall, according to the Irish Independent.
