The former Cathaoirleach of Laois County Council is due to be laid to rest this weekend.

The Fine Gael rep was first elected in 1991, and stepped down from his role as a councillor in 2019.
His funeral is due to take place in St. Abban's Church in Killeen on Saturday at 12pm.
John is survived by his children, Aisling, Caragh, Georgina, Robert and Marc.
