A former midlands town councillor is being laid to rest today.
Fine Gael's Ollie Payne - whose long career on Mountmellick Town Council ended in 2014 - passed away last Thursday.
He's being remembered by the community, including Mountmellick GAA for his commitment to gaelic games.
Ollie's funeral mass is taking place in St. Joseph's Church, Mountmellick at 11 o'clock this morning, with burial to follow in St Joseph's Cemetery.
