Former Offaly GAA Chair Headlines 'Breakfast And Banter' Event

Michael Duignan and a number of guest speakers will be at the Charleville Centre today.

A Breakfast and Banter event to celebrate International Men’s Day is taking place in Offaly today.

Former Offaly GAA chairman Michael Duignan will be one of the guest speakers for the occasion, which is organised by the Offaly Local Development Company.

The gathering will include an address by Dr. Domhnall McGlacken-Byrne, Special Registrar in Public Health Medicine. 

The event gets underway at 11am at the Charleville Centre.

 'Celebrating Men and Boys' is this year's theme for International Men's Day.

The event coincides with Movember, which raises awareness and funds for men's health issues by encouraging them to grow moustaches for the month of November.

A Breakfast and Banter gathering was held in Offaly today to mark the occasion, which included guest speakers Michael Duignan and Dr. Domhnall McGlacken-Byrne.
