He needs to alter his house before he is able to return home.
A fundraiser to support the former Chairman of Offaly GAA has surpassed €40,000.
Ferbane's Ollie Daly recently had his leg amputated as a result of diabetes, and survived a quadruple heart bypass a few years back.
He needs to alter his house, which will allow him to return home and live as much of an independent life as possible.
Over 500 people have come together and donate money to Mr. Daly's cause, with the online fundraiser asking people to support him in what is his "greatest challenge."
A target of €50,000 has been set, with current funds totaling €41,000.
Anybody who would like to make a donation to Ollie's cause can do so here.
