
A family friend is paying tribute to the young boy.
The funeral of a four year old boy who was killed after being hit by a car in Westmeath will take place today.
The boy, who has celebrated his birthday over the weekend, will then be laid to rest in Dublin.
He was struck by a car around 6.30pm on Monday evening, before being taken by ambulance to Mullingar Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
