A man is in a serious condition in Tullamore Regional Hospital after leading gardaí on a car chase through the Longford town yesterday evening.
A garda was also injured and a patrol car damaged during the pursuit from the Ballinalee Road towards the Ard Aoibhinn area, before the driver crashed into a wall at Ardnacassa.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has mobile phone, CCTV or dashcam footage of the area between 4 and 4.30pm is asked to contact any garda station or the Garda Confidential Line.
