Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a premises where the man's body was discovered on Tuesday morning.
The man's body, who was aged in his 50s, was then removed from the scene to the mortuary at Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar.
A post mortem examination will take place in due course, which will determine the course of the investigation.
