Gardaí say they are following a definite line of inquiry into an assault in the Midlands.
A man in his 30s suffered non life threatening injuries in the incident in Laois Shopping Centre in Portlaoise.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and asking anyone who was in the shopping centre between 6pm and 7pm on Monday evening, to contact them.
