It's after the theft of machinery from a van in the county last night.
Gardaí have launched an investigation into a theft from a van in Laois.
Multiple people were involved in the incident, which saw two drills and three grinders stolen from the vehicle in the Crann Nua area of Portarlington at around 11pm last night.
Gardaí are investigating a possible link between this incident and a similar theft in Mountmellick on Sunday night, early Monday morning.
They're appealing for witnesses to both incidents, particularly those with camera or dashcam footage, to come forward.
